On September 27th, I made a trip to several cemeteries in Parish and West Monroe. I took several photos of stones for people that belong to my Smith line. I also took photos of the general layout of two of the cemeteries. The cemeteries I visited were: Dutch Hill Cemetery
on Dutch Hill Road; Wrightson Cemetery on Rt. 69; Pleasant Lawn Cemetery all in Parish and the Nutting Cemetery in the northwest corner of the town of West Monroe. Roger Smith

William H. Smith - Son of Henry Smith and Mary Merenus

Rebecca Morenus, Buried next to William H. Smith. I suspect that Morenus and Merenus are the same name. William's mother was Mary Merenus. Back in Schoharie County, where William's parents were born, the name is spelled Mereness.

Sarah J. Morenus, Buried next to Rebecca Morenus

Ruth Morenus buried next to Sarah J. Morenus

Arthur Smith, son of C.R. & M. Smith; Henry Smith and Mary Merenus had two sons - Cyrus Smith and Chester B. Smith. This Arthur could be a child of either.
Arthur is buried right behind William H. Smith

Lucy, wife of Jefferson Aldrich. Henry Smith and Mary Merenus' son
Ransom Smith married a Jane Aldrich. Possible mother for Jane.

Jefferson Aldrich, possible father for Jane Aldrich.
